- i usually dont even use one, but i figured free up some pocket space while im doing more hours this block why not.bag itself is pretty well made, im fairly confident in the material itself to tolerate weather as it happens.the strap to the bag and the metal loop are both double stitched as expected. they didnt double stitch the hook and loop though and i feel like if youre moving it between bikes thats maybe gonna be an issue down the line. anything that gets stressed at all should be double stitched imo. 5 cents in string for more durability is an obvious choice no? my only meh complaint is the strap while long enough to attach REALLY would benefit from an extra 2 inches in length to install in the way the photo is shown. like my double stitching comment being stronger more velcro actually attached has the same purpose. the length of the strap with my particular seatpost and saddle means ive gotta squish the bag a bit to get the strap to a connection id feel comfortable riding around chicago potholes without losing it. that being said, your setup might (probably is) be different. to combat this bag compressing issue *that likely isnt an issue unless you PACK a bag like i tend to* i just put the bag sideways instead of vertically. fished the straps though and got it all sinched up with less compressing and more velcro connection.
